Hannah Cartwright

Hannah qualified in 2006 and has worked across London’s largest teaching hospitals. Initially specialising in major trauma she then moved to neurological rehabilitation in 2010. She currently works at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) where she has been based for the last 8 years.

Whilst at NHNN she has developed advanced skills in neurological rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in stroke rehabilitation, treating progressive neurological conditions including neuromuscular diseases, upper limb rehabilitation and rehabilitation after neurosurgery including after management of brain tumours.

She has specialist skills in the use of electrical stimulation, splinting and therapeutic adjuncts for improving intensity of exercise and therefore therapy outcomes.

She has a keen interest in making exercise and activity accessible to all. Hannah has advanced Bobath training, she is also trained in Neuro Fit- a movement technique to target cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance and balance.
